Symbol for endless love!

Seeing that we at Supplize do so many weddings, we like to look at various love symbols throughout the world and to share with our readers what these symbols mean. Today we share the Mystic Knot – that symbolises endless love….ahhhh so apt for couples getting married!

The mystic knot is a Chinese symbol that represents long life, uninterrrupeted by separations and heartbreak! It is also known as a lucky knot and is extreemly popular. It is significant in feng shui and an easy to use motif that can be incorporated into the design patterns of doors or furniture (think your own love bed)! Just think how you can incorporate it into your wedding decor, or able centerpieces?  Most widly used as the symbol for undying love, it is suitable for ensuring that the romance in a marriage will last. Furthermore, it stands for no beginning and no end, and I really think it is stunning to use!

Oh my goodness, what a great challenge! B105, Brisbane’s best radio station, and keep supporter of Supplize Decor Hire, phoned us up and gave the brief….”Please can you change our very gubby rec room into something worthy of a Perfume launch?”.  Duhh of course yet! Check out the first picture…before

So the brief was this:

A perfume launch – the breakfast team made their own scent = Woof!

Colour black and white!

Make it classy and sassy!

This is what we did….what do you think? Free standing silver candelabra, 1.8mt tall, white lanterns from the roof and black and white draping! Mwah

Ivory and Pink, what a super connection! Love it xxx

Have you ever thought of having colour at your function, but keep on finding your mind wondering back to the standard white + what ever (?) chair covers?

And ultimately not had the guts to go with your first idea? Scared that it won’t look as good because you haven’t seen the final finished product in anything other than white?

Well here is an idea, one that is bold but not too over the top… Our tip is IVORY!

Especially combined with a pink shade, the colour duo is magnificent! Don’t trust us yet??? Had I only done a before and after on this pic, you would silently nod in agreement. Colour is good, colour is marvelous, colour is your friend! LOL. As they say in the classics – go bold or go home?!

We love it when we have clients who want to creat something different!

How about these lovely antique birdcages for a vintage effect.

We have used them for floral centrepieces or with candles in them or even filled with gel balls, LED lights, feathers and masks for a Mardi Gras theme.

Top tip of the day when creating a centrepiece that is noticable: Play with colours, textures and height.

Our brief was simple, a darling daughters Christening, keeping to pink and ivory tones, but without making it look too “Weddingy”.

The Centrepieces were stunning, flowers are just the thing to make any function table come alive.

The venue was vintage and Supplize’s damask made it a day to remember.
